SUMMARY: Solaris Upgrade Question

Do you know, or can you find out, if the u9 upgrade will include either:
 a new version of the compiler itself

No, the compiler is an unbundled product.

You don't have to do this, the Solaris forwards compatibility guarantee is
your friend.
