Screensaver (summary)

Thanks to everybody who answered.

What I asked was "how can I keep the screensaver from turning off the
screen in a Sun, without killing the process ?"

It is easy, and I should have thought of this. You just do a "touch
/dev/kbd" or /dev/mouse, and it thinks you have hit the keyboard or
the mouse. In a program, you do "something like this".

Now, just another question: how can I intentionally turn the screen off ?
I mean, how does the screensaver turns it off ? Some system call, something
to do with /dev/something ?
