For those of you who are also wondering:
just mount the CD with the following command:
mount -r -t hsfs /dev/sr0 /cdrom (the `-t hsfs' is very important)
and tar the desired files.
or use `add_services'. (see manpage)
note: The Solaris 2.x release differs a bit.
