It seems I posted my summary a bit early.
I have now had the following recommendations as well.
1) nnstat. I had forgotten about this one. I had check it out a cople of
years ago, and found it too complex for my needs (just like
morrow@cns.ucalgary.ca (Bill Morrow) who reminded me about it).
2) someone recommended netfind. I have not tried it yet.
3) I had some people asking where to find tcpview. I used xarchie to
archie.sura.net; it found gatekeeper.dec.com:/.3/net/misc/tcpview
