Wow! Lots of replies all saying the same thing - and it worked!

My question was....
I'm having problems getting Sol2.1 to set my subnet mask properly. I've got
/etc/netmasks set to
hsru# cat /etc/netmasks
#
139.133.216.0 255.255.255.0
139.133.223.0 255.255.255.0
etc
etc.....
And the universal cry was... RUBBISH! Your /etc/netmasks should (very probably)
be
139.133.0.0 255.255.255.0
Which is the spell needed to declare that the Class B network 139.133 is to
be subnetted, with 8 bits for the subnet field, and 8 for the host field.
