SUMMARY: rpc.yppasswd dies in 4.1.3_U1

Dear Managers,

So far I've only had four responses, one of which was a "let me know".

Mark Boyns said that he'd had the same problem, but got around it by
not using auditing (not acceptable in our case), and changing the password
on the NIS master only using passwd -F.

Harish Malneedi said that he'd had a similar problem due to an error in the
second field in the password file, although it didn't produce quite the same
symptoms.

cwaters@emh-1.submepp.navy.mil suggested applying the C2 Jumbo patch. I don't
think this will work (or indeed is a good idea) because it changes a lot
and replaces libraries which have newer versions in 4.1.3_U1 (I think).

So overall, no solution. I'll rephrase the question: Has anyone installed
4.1.3_U1 on their NIS master using C2 and got it to work? Perhaps by asking
this I might be able to find if I've done something wrong. I forgot to
say that the machine was previously 4.1.3 (not U1).

The original request again:

> We are using C2 security. The NIS master is Sparc 10/20.
