Original question:

Hi,
platform: SDS 4.0, Solaris 2.4, FirstWatch HA software.
question: how to move a disk from one diskset to another diskset without
backup the data and then restore it.
Sun Tech support told me there is no way to do that. But I think I didn't
get a chance to talk to the right guy in the SDS group.
Thanks in advance.

I only received one reply from Glenn Satchell(Glenn.Satchell@Uniq.com.au).
I guess the diskset feature of SDS is so new and it needs to work with
some third party HA software(in our case we are running FirstWatch), so that
not that many people have experience. I have not tried the way that Glenn
mentioned because I had to drop this project and work something else. But
I wanted to put out this summary before I gorget. Anyway, thanks to Glenn
Satchell.

X-Sun-Charset: US-ASCII
You should be just able to use metaset to delete it from the set then
add it into the other one. If the disk has already been partitioned by
metaset, it won't delete anything from the disk or repartition it.
