Thanks all for your great helps. I got quite many replies from you. I just
randomly choose one which works fine to be a sample in the summary.
My original question was:
: We are running Solaris 2.3 on Sparc 20 and 5. Now I want to mount
:a directory from one to another but it did not work. I typed
:share -F nfs -o ro=host1 in host2 and type mount host2:/www /www2 in host2.
:Then the error message is "nfs mount: hostsname2::RPC: Program not registered".
One of the replies is:
That is correct, but you must run the nfsd server daemon.
If you put the share line in your /etc/dfs/dfstab, at boot moment the
nfsd will run.
So, if you don't want boot the machine, run this script.
/etc/init.d/nfs.server in your host2.
