One of my users, after a username changed, kept getting the error
chkey: insufficent permission to update credentials.
when running `chkey -p'.
I am not sure what actually fixed the problem, but I did the
following:
1) nischown her dredentials in cred.org_dir to her cname,
2) nischmod o+m on her credentials, and
3) killed and restarted all the NIS+ stuff.
Now it works. If it was the permissions, I don't know why they were
messed up in the first place. Only time it's ever happened. But at
least it works now.
Thanks to David Robson <robbo@satech.net.au> for a quick response
which prompted the above steps.
