One person suggested the passwd -g from the manpage; but giving my lusers
root to change their GECOS isnt something i'd want to do. Wrappers for
passwd was also suggested, as well as banging it out in c. (I can't code
my way out of a wet paper bag with a firehose.) Neither of those optinos,
unfortunatly, are viable; I am leery of most suid wrappers and whatnot.
The people who will be using this thing think bugtraq is slow releasing
bugs and their fixes...the fact that i'll be using sendmail on this
machine has me frightened enough. :-)

You can get chsh and some other programs in the shadow login suite by John
Haugh. Two places to look:

this isn't an urgent request, unfortunatly, no other venue that i am
aware of can offer a correct answer.
I've been looking for the source (preferred) or binaries of chsh and chfn
that will work under Solaris 2.6. (Or even 2.x for that matter.) I'm
going to be making a ss20/solaris 2.6 a user shell machine, and I'd like
to give them chsh and chfn..No mention of either in the FAQ that i'm
aware of.
Thanks for any help, and I'll summarize info as it warrants.
