Thanks for the responses,
The basic consensus was to use xv to convert a windows bmp file to a bm
file.
This in turn is referenced in the Xresourcesfile against the
Dtlogin*logo*bitmapFile entry.
I did this and walla!
Restart dt login and the bitmap appears.
