I've gotten over 20 responses, and I wish to thank all who replied! The
unanimous decisions was to use Veritas Volume Manager which eliminates the
7 slice barrier. Apparently Sun licenses this software from Veritas. Kind
of funny that Sun provides a solution to it's own limitation, for a price
of course ;-)
