Hi,

The answer is to use netgroup if you use NIS/NIS+. If you do not use
NIS/NIS+, you have to build your own authencation scheme, like Matthew
Stier suggested the logdaemon from TCP_WRAPPER packages.

Thanks to the following people who took time repling my question:

Casper Dik <casper@holland.sun.com>
Stuart Kendrick <sbk@fred.fhcrc.org>
Jochen Bern <bern@penthesilea.uni-trier.de>
Robert Perez <rperez@sprintparanet.com>
Matthew Stier <Matthew.Stier@tddny.fujitsu.com>

Subject: limit logins by groups ?

Hi gurus,

How do I limit logins to only certain groups of users, for example,

hosta: allow group A, B, C, deny group D
hostb: allow group D, deny the rest

Thank you in advance for your helps,

I will summarize.

Regards,
Tony Wu
