My question (which is at the end of this message) had to do with the type of
SCSI drive needed as a replacement for a SPARCstation 10 drive. Thanks to
Thomas Anders, Alan Thew, and David Brierley who gave me the info:
Fast, not wide, SCSI, but Ultra SCSI is okay as long as it's not Ultra and
wide. The connector needs to be 50-pin. IBM and Seagate drives
were recommended.
I ended up with a Seagate Barracuda drive, which meets the above specs.

Subject: need replacement 9 GB hard disk
I need to find as quickly as possible a replacement 9-gb hard disk for our
Sun system. Can someone give me the specs for acceptable SCSI interfaces
(fast, wide, ultra, etc.) for a Sparc 10 external disk?
Better yet, can anyone recommend a particular supplier (and/or disk model)
that is know to work with the Sparc 10?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Dwight
