hi, folks
Sorry for so late summarize.
My real question is regarding two sun boxes share a
disk through share bus, the answer is no way, at least not ensure.
most peopel suggest nfs, some said it can't be done without the
third party software , such as some high availability software.
one mentioned the sharefs, but I can't get any information about it , if
anyone has some information about it , pls don't hesitate to reach me.
one suggest checking the new mount-option "global | noglobal" mentioned
in "man mount_ufs" on Solaris 7. but i haven't Solaris 7 on hand , so maybe
try later.
thanks everyone who respond.

hi, folks ,
How to share a disk by two sun box ?
recently we mount the same filesystem from two
sun box at the same time, it works. but when we
creat a file on one workstation , the other
machine can't even see it .
We plan to set a system that two machine share
a disk, and one has read-write permission, the
other one only read from it. does this workable ?
Any help will be appreciated.
